Having the highest output of the Moollon VS series, The VS-64 model exhibits deeper low-end and a
nicely driving midrange. Being comparatively overwound, individual pickups vary from 6.2Kohm to
6.7Kohm in resistance output and are randomly finished as such, with deeper, longer wound pickups
displaying an overall lower sound. With a full bottom end characteristic of the ¡°Texas Sound¡±and
output that more easily yields a well-driven feel, one can really experience classic 1960s tone
with the VS-64 series. Featuring vintage-spec sandcast AlNiCo5 magnets and 42AWG plain enamel
magnetic coil coupled with "60s-spec black and gray handworked bobbins and cloth covered wire,
this handmade pickup is true to the originals it was made after.
*As with the "tall D" of the 1954 model, the magnet on the D string sits the highest.
As most modern electric guitars do not make use of a wound 3rd (G) string, the G magnet it is
lowered in order to deliver a finer uniformity in volume balance.
